About Us
Welcome to Fosters Farm
Fosters is home to myself (Kate), partner Joe, 3 children, 2 parents, 3 horses, 5 sheep, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 chickens and 3 ducks!
We have lived here for 3 years and decided it was time to share our beautiful view. Joe, the brains and brawn behind the operation, has built our beautiful hut from scratch throughout the winter alongside his full time job as a builder. With help from my dad and our son Archie, who landscaped the site, it sits in an elevated spot allowing you to gaze across the Somerset Levels.
Fosters farm dates back from the 17th century and is best known for its work manufacturing willow from the local moors. It is said a basket was made here and sent to Winston Churchill! The farm had the first telephone in the village along with the first car which the local bobby used for his duties and would return it empty of fuel! In more recent years it was used as a dairy farm.
The hamlet of Knapp is a quiet area to reside and the perfect place for a romantic weekend away!
